Two READY NWI colleagues inducted as Fellows into the Society of Innovators!

Congratulations to Jon Groth and Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins for being selected as 2016 Fellows with The Society of Innovators at a special induction ceremony on October 20, 2017. This prestigious status is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated innovation in their field, problem solving and continuous improvement at the highest level.

Jon Groth is the Area Director and Principal of Porter County Career and Technical Education Center where he launched the first student-led alternative energy project on a school roof in Indiana and most recently led the innovative repurposing of an historic 1912 Grand Trunk railroad depot into a 21st century classroom at the career center.

Dr. Barbara Eason-Watkins is Superintendent of Michigan City Area Schools where she championed transformation by overcoming “missed opportunities” and demonstrating an innovative spirit of collaboration. Currently, Dr. Watkins is overseeing a $10 million technology and digital classroom initiative.
