Blair Milo, Governor Holcomb's appointed Secretary of Career Connections and Talent, will be in Porter Co. presenting a workshop

Date: 1/12/2018 through 1/12/2018
Blair Milo, Governor Holcomb’s appointed Secretary of Career Connections and Talent, will be in Porter County presenting a workshop for community leaders and key stakeholders.

The workshop will be held at the Porter County Community Foundation’s office on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 am (Central) to discuss:

• Current job vacancies, future job demand and county demographics
• Identify the state, regional, and local assets to assist with improving career connections and closing current gaps
• Identify what is working well and what changes could or should be pursued to inform a regionally, or locally driven talent pipeline

Over the next ten years, there will be an estimated one million job openings in the State of Indiana. With your input, Secretary Milo hopes to address these needs in her role as the state’s Chief Talent Officer. These informational forums and direct conversations are crucial for our local employers and our communities, and solutions must involve our schools, elected officials, and our civic leaders.
