The Center of Workforce Innovations is proud to announce the launch of “Bridging the Gap for Student Success” through Regional Education and Employer Alliance for Developing Youth of Northwest Indiana (READY NWI), a program designed to help fulfill updated requirements for career path selection prior to high school graduation in Indiana. We are honored to have been selected by Indiana Commission for Higher Education to help equip your students with the necessary tools and guidance to motivate youth in the selection, preparation, and start of their journey onto a career path resulting in personal, professional and regional success.

CWI is committed to improving educational opportunities and career development for the future of Northwest Indiana’s workforce. In our 20+ year history, we have partnered with employers, K-12 educators, post-secondary institutions, and economic and workforce development professionals. Our READY NWI collaborative platform is positioned to enhance these connections by exposing youth to various career opportunities.

Championing Careers for NWI’s Students

The Career Champion framework helps students achieve key milestones by offering a menu of career and college readiness activities. The activities are targeted toward 11th and 12th grade students organized within three buckets: Explore, Engage, Experience. These are designed to generate excitement, complement elements of the Scholar Success Program and Employability Skills Standards, while allowing for flexibility and customization to support informed career pathways.
